Bio

The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy was founded in December 1996 by a group of citizens concerned with the deteriorating conditions of Pittsburgh’s historic city parks. A nonprofit organization, the Parks Conservancy has worked closely with the City of Pittsburgh since 1998 under an official private interest partnership agreement to restore the city’s parks. To date, the Parks Conservancy has raised over $110 million for parks and has completed 17 major improvement projects. Currently active in 22 parks, the Parks Conservancy has expanded into community and neighborhood parks throughout Pittsburgh.

Solution

Cyber security and data defense are concerns for the public as well as private sector. They are also a priority for organizations that span this divide, like the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, which works with government agencies and private groups to beautify the city through parks and recreational areas.

Cyber security is all about creating systems and processes to mitigate data leaving an organization’s private data centers and ending up in the wrong hands. At a certain point in the life cycle of any data, it provides more liability than benefit to an organization.

With the evolution of compliance standards such as GDPR, and the constant race in cyber security, the peace of mind that Clarabyte provides for risk removal is a competitive advantage, and was exactly what the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy needed.
